Edinburgh Museum

I recently moved to Edinburgh to start a new job so it's been a while since I've had any time to get my sketchbook out and do some drawing. This weekend I went to one of the museums in Edinburgh and spent a lot of time in the animal room drawing. My favorite of the set has to be the giraffe which was actually my first drawing of the day. You could stand on the floor above and look down on this giraffe model which just allowed a lovely angle for drawing. Anyone who knows me will know I'm part giraffe or at least related to one.

  1. These sketches are cool. Makes me wish, I'd stayed studying art.

  2. What an interesting blog, introduced by a thought-provoking photo. The unusual wall painting of the dwellings is also a strangely modern interpretation. Something like this hieroglyphic view of a park by Swiss painter Paul Klee, http://EN.WahooArt.com/A55A04/w.nsf/OPRA/BRUE-8LT475.
The image can be seen at wahooart.com who can supply you with a canvas print of it.
